Years 11/12 - TCE
Scottsdale High School is very
excited about being a school which delivers year 11 and 12 to rural and
regional high schools under the new DoE policy. Our aim is to provide a quality
learning program that is both engaging and tailored to student need.
We will work closely with
students to ensure that the learning will lead to relevant qualifications and
meaningful pathways. Scottsdale High School is working in partnership with
Launceston College to ensure students are provided with appropriate course
counselling, that there are flexible delivery options for meeting the needs of
all students and for our staff to have the opportunity to collaborate with
colleagues in post year 10 learning.
Students are able to study
Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE), and complement their face to face
courses with additional study through flexible delivery of a level 2 or 3
course. The Tasmanian
Certificate of Education (TCE) is a qualification for Tasmanians who reach the
five standards. The qualification has been developed in consultation with
a wide range of stakeholders including employers, industry bodies, education
and training providers, parent and community bodies, schools and colleges.
To get
this qualification a person must meet - or do better than - requirements for
standards in:
-
everyday adult reading, writing and communication
-
everyday adult mathematics
-
everyday adult use of computers and the internet
-
the amount and level of participation and achievement in education
and training
-
pathway planning.
You can achieve your TCE while
studying in Years 11 / 12 at Scottsdale High School. A successful year 11
and 12 education is more important than ever.
