How does Big Picture operate at Scottsdale High School?

Scottsdale High School is a Big Picture Inspired school; it joined Big Picture Education Australia in 2009. There are two advisories in the program each with 15 students (One grade 9 and one grade 10).

The advisories share a large, open learning space and are called the Think BIG class. Think BIG students number approximately one quarter of the senior school. Students involved participate in option subjects, community service, tutorials, internships and are required to conduct two learning exhibitions per year.

The Think BIG class appeals to students with a wide range of academic ability and interests and been extremely successful so far with great support from families and the local communities.
