Grade 7 Camp
Grade 7 students complete a
three day camp at the Forester Scout Cabin, located on the Forester River,
approximately thirty minutes drive, north of the high school. The camp is
held early in term 1. The aim of the camp
is for new students from various primary schools to get to know each other and their teachers as early
as possible in the
year. There are many activities involving team building and cooperation. The camp introduces students to
basics in bushwalking, mapping, navigation, and orienteering. Students are also
introduced to the botany and the rich history of the
Forester area which includes the legend of Murgatroyd Jones.
