Mount Cameron Field Study Centre
The Mt. Cameron range and its
immediate environs provides about 25 square kilometres
of bush suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities.
The
Mt. Cameron Field Study Centre was built in 1976
and is owned and operated by Scottsdale High
School.
The
Centre's main function is as an outdoor
education facility for students of all ages. It
is also an excellent base for groups wishing to
explore the north-east of Tasmania, or for those
looking for a self-contained facility in the
bush suitable for conducting training workshops.
The
Field Study Centre was built by the Scottsdale High School
community and in particular the service clubs of
Scottsdale.
